Committees Do the Club’s Real Work:

Community Service

Identifies service needs in the community, and organizes projects and administers Foundation funds to address those needs.

Youth Services/

Major Emphasis

Acts as liaison between the Club and youth organizations in the community, including the Boy Scout troop and Cub Scout pack chartered and sponsored by the Club.  Organizes community projects and administers Foundation funds to address the needs of very young children, the “Major Emphasis” of Kiwanis International

2006-2007 Chair:  Bruce Prange

Spiritual Aims

Addresses the spiritual aspects of Kiwanis.  Publishes and distributes to local hotels a Waukesha church directory, among other projects.

2006-2007 Chair:  John Cesarz

Scholarships

Identifies deserving local high school students and grants academic scholarships from the Waukesha Kiwanis Foundation.

2006-2007 Chair:  Bob Mawdsley

Fund Raising

Administers the Club’s two major yearly fund-raising efforts, the holiday nut and candy sale, and the pancake breakfast held in conjunction with the Waukesha County Fair.

2006-2007 Co-Chairs:  Lee Brisk (Pancake Breakfast) and Judy Mudlitz (Nut and Candy Sale)

Meeting and Social

Manages club meetings and social events, including arranging speakers and programs, and special events such as the golf outing and bowling party.

Membership

Builds membership, does induction and orientation of new members, and encourages participation and attendance.

Bulletin and Public Relations

Publishes the Kiwaniscope, the Club’s weekly newsletter, and manages the Club’s and Foundation’s public relations.
